Most unions in Iceland have a fitness benefit, the líkamsræktarstyrkur, that pays back part of their members' fitness and wellness costs. Submit the receipt in your union's benefit system (for many unions, through Frímann) and get reimbursed under its rules.
What is the líkamsræktarstyrkur?
The líkamsræktarstyrkur (also called heilsustyrkur or íþróttastyrkur) is a benefit most Icelandic unions offer their members: a partial reimbursement of what you spend on fitness, swimming, yoga and other wellness. Amounts and rules differ between unions. For most, you simply submit a receipt. Check your entitlement on your union's website or in Frímann, the benefit portal many unions use.
