Account deletion

Delete your LifePass account

This page is for the LifePass app on iPhone and Android and for lifepass.is. LifePass is run by Sporta ehf. (kt. 490925-1470), Hverfisgata 88, 101 Reykjavík, Iceland. You can delete your account and your personal data yourself, in the app or on the website, as shown below.

How to delete your account

  • In the app

    1. Open the LifePass app on your iPhone or Android phone and sign in.
    2. Go to Profile and tap the gear at the top.
    3. Tap Delete account, read what happens, and confirm.
  • On the website

    1. Sign in at lifepass.is/profile.
    2. Under Security, choose Delete account.
    3. Read what happens, and confirm.
  • Can't sign in?

Reset your password from the website's sign-in page (Forgot password?), or email support@lifepass.is from the email address you use for LifePass. We reply within 30 days and help you sign in, so that you can delete your account in the app or on the website.

What happens when you ask

  • All your health and fitness data is deleted straight away, such as weigh-ins, workout plans and workouts, weekly check-ins, meals, your goals and Apple Health summaries. Your nationality and your referral link are removed straight away too.
  • Automatic renewal stops. During a committed monthly term, the remaining monthly payments of the term are still charged, and your account is erased when the term ends.
  • If you ask on the website and have already paid for time ahead, you choose: keep using LifePass until that period ends and have your account erased then, or erase it now and give up the time left, which is not refunded. In the app there is no such choice: your access stops when you confirm (no more bookings, check-ins or purchases), and your account is erased once any period you have paid for has ended. If you want the choice, delete your account on the website.
  • Upcoming bookings are cancelled. If you choose on the website to keep access to the end of a paid period, bookings up to that day stay booked.
  • Unused prepaid pass visits are forfeited and not refunded.
  • Then your account is erased: you can no longer sign in, and the personal data below is deleted.

What we delete, and when

Straight away, when you ask.
Nationality and referral link
Straight away, when you ask.
Account details: name, email, language and kennitala
Within 30 days after the later of your request and the end of any period you have already paid for or committed to (or at once, if you choose to give that period up). If a payment, refund or booking is still unsettled, within 30 days after it is settled.
Saved places, venue reviews and review photos, reports of a review you made, and late cancellations and no-shows (strikes)
When your account is erased.

What we keep, and for how long

Some records must outlive the account, by law or to settle with venues. Once your account is erased, the records in our database belong to an account that no longer holds your name, email or kennitala. Emails you sent to support stay in our support mailbox, with your email address, for the period below.

Transaction and payment records
7 years (legal/tax requirements)
Booking and check-in history
7 years (for venue reconciliation and disputes)
The record that you took a free trial or an introductory offer, so that it cannot be taken again with a new account: a one-way code made from your kennitala (never the number itself), no longer linked to your account
24 months after the trial or offer was taken
Records of consents you gave or withdrew (marketing emails, health and fitness tracking)
Kept as proof for the limitation period
Support communications
2 years after resolution
Company-plan records, if your employer provided your plan
Duration of the company agreement plus up to 7 years for the records that form part of billing/tax documentation
Security and technical logs
Up to 12 months
Backups
Our database provider keeps encrypted backups for up to 30 days. Data we have deleted disappears from the backups when they expire
Records needed to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim, for example in an open dispute
Until the matter is resolved

Booked at a venue that uses Abler or Bókun?

They keep their own copy of your booking details, under their own privacy policies. When your account is erased we tell them that you asked for erasure and ask them to delete it. You can also ask them directly: privacycompliance@abler.io for Abler, info@bokun.is for Bókun.

Changed your mind?

Until your account is erased, you can cancel the deletion. In the app, open Delete account again and tap Keep my account. On the website, sign in at lifepass.is/profile and choose I changed my mind on the notice at the top.

Automatic renewal goes back to how it was. Health and fitness data that was deleted does not come back, cancelled bookings are not restored, and your nationality and referral link stay removed, though you can add your nationality again on your profile. Once your account is erased, it cannot be brought back.

Only want your health data deleted?

You can delete your health and fitness data and keep your account: turn off fitness tracking under Body and goals, in the app or in your account on the website. That withdraws your consent and deletes the data in one step. Your membership is not affected.

Every period we keep data for is in our Privacy Policy, Section 7, and your rights are in Section 8.
